Prof. Gilles Vassal accepted the 2020 Rosen Research Award

ACCELERATE Chair Prof. MD Gilles Vassal was awarded with the Leonard M. Rosen Memorial Research Award from Children’s Cancer Cause, a prominent US patient advocacy group. The award is given yearly to individuals who made an outstanding contribution to the field of childhood cancer policy and advocacy. In his acceptance speech, Prof. MD Vassal emphasized of working together to accelerate innovation in medicine development for children and adolescents with cancer. Furthermore, he stated that ACCELERATE succeeded in demonstrating that it is feasible for clinicians and researchers, industry, regulators and patient advocates to work together under a multi-stakeholder initiative such as ACCELERATE.
